Hello everyone, I’m Yash Umangdeep, an i3c–BRIC–RCB PhD scholar in Praveen’s lab. My academic journey began with a Master’s degree in Forensic Biotechnology from the National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, followed by hands-on research experience as a Project Associate at the Centre of Biomedical Research, Lucknow.
At inStem, my doctoral work explores the gut–ovary axis, focusing on understanding how gut leakiness drives ovarian aging and whether small-molecule interventions that restore gut integrity can be leveraged to rescue ovarian function downstream.
Hobbies: Outside the lab, I moonlight as a history buff, aspiring writer, and occasional wanderer, always ready for a campus stroll if there’s good company (and tea) involved.
