I am a biomaterial scientist with research expertise in designing biomimetic nanofiber scaffolds and sutures for tissue regeneration. I completed my Ph.D. in Biotechnology at IIT Madras, focusing on the fabrication of nanofiber yarn-based sutures and scaffolds for tissue engineering applications. During this period, I was awarded the Gandhian Young Technological Investigator Award by BIRAC-SRISTI for my work on “Nanofiber Yarn Suture: A Medical Device.”

Currently, I am an MK Bhan Fellow, working on designing Forcespinning equipment for the high-throughput production of biocompatible polymer nanofibers combined with cell-laid extracellular matrix (ECM) as scaffolds for treatment of myocardial infarction.

Apart from research, I enjoy cooking and traveling around the world.
